So I just read on CNN.com that Bush has hit an all-time low approval rating of 31%. Judging by the tone of the article, I should be shocked & awed by how low that is. But all I can think is..how the hell can 31 out of 100 people still think he is doing a good job? A 31% percent approval does not shock me by how low it is, it shocks & digusts me by how high it is.

What is wrong with you people?!

With the Oscars fast approaching, I decided to post my reviews of the nominees for best picture.

“Atonement” Haven't seen it, but looks kind of sappy.
“Juno” Haven't seen it, but looks kind of cutesy.
“Michael Clayton” Haven't seen it and don't really know what it's about.
“No Country for Old Men” Haven't seen it , but the book was excellent.
“There Will Be Blood” Haven't seen it, but looks intense.

I should really get out more often.

Well, no huge surprises last night on American Idol. The weird looking "haunted" kid went home as did the blah blond kid whose name I can't even remember. I was somewhat shocked Snoozey "Everybody's Talkin'" Luke got enough votes (or any votes!) to stick around. I felt like he was the least memorable of the night. Oh well. For the girls, it was whatsherface and the Plus size model who should stick to modeling. I didn't really care one way or the other about either of them. I thought it was cruel of the producers to dangle the carrot of lame-ass rocker nurse going home in front of me. What is that stupid voice she sings in? Still hate her. Ugh.

On the unemployment front, I really need to get a job. For dinner yesterday I had stale bread toast, string cheese, and a glass of 2 buck Chuck shiraz. Now that's just sad. I am embarrassed for me.

So the man took my job...

I'm rounding out week three of unemployment here and decided to start a blog. Yeah, I'll be the first to admit that as soon as I get a job I will probably never find the time to update this, but we'll see. Three weeks of unemployment is a really long time. Lots of time to cook ,clean, space out, stare at walls. I honestly think the cats are really getting sick of me. I don't know what they do when I'm gone, but they haven't been able to do it for three weeks. But this isn't about them, it's about me. Sooooo, yeah. Today I went to the used bookstore...um, I had grilled cheese for lunch...um, I am going to watch American Idol tonight. I am assuming my wish of "Rocker Nurse" going home won't come true. Wow, this is really going to be a dull blog. Hey look! Kitties!
